Bernard L. Weiner has been practicing for more than 40 years in the area of creditor's rights. He began his legal career at Title Insurance and Trust Company specializing in problems involving foreclosure of deeds of trust and mortgages. From there he joined a law firm representing Savings and Loan Companies where he represented real estate lenders. Later, he became a partner in a law firm that also represented lenders and became California Counsel for major financial institutions. For the past 10 years he has changed sides and now represents borrowers. He knows how lenders operate and uses that knowledge for the benefit of the borrower, both commercial and consumer.
Currently Bernard L. Weiner defends clients in both business and consumer protection matters, including Fair Debt Collection Practice, Fair Credit Reporting, Deeds of Trust, contractual disputes (both business and personal), mortgage issues, and numerous other statutory common law actions. He regularly defends borrowers who have found themselves unable to meet their monthly payments, but do not want to file bankruptcy.
